Registered Purebred Boer Goats

Boer goats are one of the most popular and sought after goat breeds in the world. They originated in South Africa in the early 1900’s and were bred specifically for their excellent meat quality.

About Emerald Acres Boer Goats

Emerald Acres Farm is operated by Eric and Brenda Huffman and is located at 262 Huffman Rd. in the village of Moscow, Ontario. Eric was born and raised on the farm and is the sixth generation of Huffman’s who have farmed this land. Eric inherited the farm in July 1993 when his father, Jack Huffman, passed away. Even while working a full-time job, Eric raised several different kinds of animals and worked the land, along with the help of his wife, Brenda, to keep the farm going. Before his retirement, Eric often said that he wanted a small herd of Boer goats. He wanted quality, not quantity. Eric and Brenda travelled all over Ontario and even western Quebec selecting exceptional breeding stock. He now maintains a herd of 20 breeding does, 3 mature males and 5 doelings and 3 younger males.
